ATF balance throttling device
The ATF balanced throttling device is based on the widely used differential pressure throttling devices of "balance" and "orifice plate". On the basis of effective integration, the R-angle design of the flow hole is added, which not only solves the durability problem of the right angle edge of the flow hole in the throttling plate, but also strengthens the self tuning function of the flow field, making the ATF series products have shorter straight pipe section requirements, Furthermore, the flowability and outflow coefficient have been effectively improved on the basis of standard orifice plates. Meanwhile, through simulation and extensive real flow testing, the ATF series has taken a solid step towards standardization.
The ATF balanced throttling device can be applied to various mixed gases (such as gas, biogas, coal gas, etc.), low-temperature gases such as LNG, liquid nitrogen, liquid oxygen, liquid oxygen, liquefied ethylene, etc.), gas-liquid two-phase media (such as wet gas), slurry, bidirectional flow, etc. It is almost suitable for all fluid measurements and has been widely used in industries such as petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy, power, natural gas, water treatment, etc, It is an energy-saving instrument with broad application prospects.
Working principle
ATF is a differential pressure throttling device, whose measurement principle is: when the fluid filled with the pipeline passes through the throttling element in the pipeline, the flow beam will form local contraction at the throttling element, resulting in an increase in the flow rate of the fluid through the throttling hole and a decrease in the static pressure behind the throttling element. As a result, a pressure difference, also known as differential pressure, occurs before and after the throttling element. The greater the fluid flow rate, the greater the differential pressure generated, and this differential pressure is proportional to the square of the flow rate. This measurement method is based on the flow continuity equation (mass conservation law) and Bernoulli equation (energy conservation law), and is the theoretical basis for all differential pressure flow meters.
The ATF balanced flow sensor is a plate type throttling device installed on the cross-section of the pipeline. The flow holes designed based on the Reynolds number and flow field of the pipeline are distributed on the throttling element according to certain rules. When the fluid passes through the orifice, it will be regularly divided and balanced to minimize eddy currents, forming an approximate ideal flow field and obtaining a stable differential pressure signal. The volume flow rate and mass flow rate will be calculated based on the Bernoulli equation.

Structural characteristics
The widely used standard orifice throttling devices nowadays only have one flow hole, and the plate surface throttling resistance consumes the kinetic energy of the fluid, resulting in significant permanent pressure loss, and requires a long straight pipe section to organize the flow field and restore pressure.
The testing related to the ATF balance flow sensor has proven that through a reasonable hole design, fluid balance rectification can be cleverly achieved, significantly reducing the formation of vortices, reducing dead zone effects, reducing the loss of fluid kinetic energy, and reducing the fluctuation of pressure point signals caused by vortices.

TECHNICAL FEATURES
High linearity and good repeatability
The ATF balanced flow sensor has a symmetrical porous structure, which can balance the flow field, reduce eddy current, vibration, and signal noise, and greatly improve the stability of the flow field. From its comprehensive performance, the ATF balanced flow sensor belongs to the category of high-precision flow meters.
Low permanent pressure loss
The ATF balanced flow sensor reduces the formation of vortex in the throttling zone and the shear force of turbulence through optimized design, reducing the loss of kinetic energy. Under the same measurement conditions, the pressure recovery is twice that of the standard orifice plate, and the permanent pressure loss is half that of the standard orifice plate, thus saving considerable operating costs. It is an energy-saving flow instrument that meets the requirements of energy conservation and environmental protection and is worth promoting extensively.
Good long-term stability
Due to the significant reduction of turbulent shear force and the absence of sharp angles in the measuring hole, the direct friction between the medium and the throttling element is greatly reduced. Its B-value remains unchanged for a long time, and the long-term stability of the discharge coefficient is very good. The entire instrument has no movable parts, so it can maintain stability for a long time, and its service life is extended by 5-10 times compared to traditional orifice plates.
Directly replaceable orifice plate
The balanced flow sensor and orifice plate have the same usage method, so they can be directly replaced without any changes in piping.
Low requirements for straight pipe sections
The ATF balanced flow sensor can adjust and balance the flow field, reduce eddy current, vibration, and signal noise, significantly improve the stability of the flow field, and greatly shorten the requirements for straight pipe sections. The front and rear straight pipe sections are generally 2D and 2D, with a minimum of 0D. The use of a balanced flow sensor can save a large number of straight pipe sections.
Resistant to dirt and not easily blocked
The forward-looking hole design reduces the formation of turbulent shear forces and eddies, enhances the flow velocity in the throttling zone, especially the boundary flow velocity, greatly reduces the formation of stagnant dead zones, reduces the possibility of dirty media accumulating before and after the throttling plate, and reduces the opportunity for fluid holes to be blocked.
Wide application range
The ATF balance throttling device can measure various gases, liquids, and vapors; The fluid conditions can range from ultra-low temperature to supercritical state, with a maximum process temperature of 850 ° C and a maximum working pressure of 42MPao
The ATFT scale throttling device can achieve a completely symmetrical design on the left and right, so bidirectional flow measurement can be achieved without any adjustments.
